Zimbabwe Pickleball Association Provincial Affiliates

Affiliated provincial pickleball associations play a vital role in advancing and governing the sport of pickleball within their respective regions of Zimbabwe. A provincial affiliate:

1. Governance and Promotion:

   • Is a registered not-for-profit organization in its province and has the necessary governance infrastructure to promote, manage, and grow pickleball effectively in its jurisdiction.

2. Recognition:

   • Is officially recognized by the Zimbabwe Pickleball Association (ZPA) as the sole representative of pickleball in their province.

3. Alignment with ZPA:

   • Recognizes and supports ZPA as the national governing body for pickleball in Zimbabwe and aligns with ZPA’s mission, vision, and policies to advance and govern the sport.

4. Rules and Standards:

   • Adheres to and promotes the international rules of play as adopted by the Zimbabwe Pickleball Association and supports standardized practices across all affiliated regions.

Responsibilities of Provincial Affiliates

1. Membership Requirements:

   • Ensure that all members are registered with the ZPA. Provincial affiliates must facilitate the registration of new and renewing members through ZPA’s approved processes.

2. Club Support:

   • Recognize and support ZPA-affiliated clubs within their region, offering resources, guidance, and opportunities for growth.

3. Representation:

   • Actively participate in national discussions and strategic planning sessions with ZPA to contribute to the development of pickleball across Zimbabwe.

4. Hosting Events:

   • Commit to hosting an annual ZPA-sanctioned tournament to showcase the sport, develop local talent, and promote community engagement.

5. Promotion and Development:

   • Actively work to increase awareness and participation in pickleball at the grassroots level by organizing leagues, clinics, and outreach programs within the province.

This structure ensures that each province has a strong framework to support the growth of pickleball while remaining closely aligned with ZPA’s national goals.
